Why PersonDesk exists

We built PersonDesk because too many people carry things they can't say out loud.

Sometimes you need to talk to someone who listens. Not a bot. Not a company. Just a real person who understands.

PersonDesk is peer support. A place to be heard, to read what others can't say, and to know you're not alone.

A few weeks ago, I had an idea born from something I was struggling with myself, a moment when I just couldn't move past it.

I told myself: If only I could talk to someone I don't know about how I feel. If only I could vent to someone who is a stranger and doesn't know me.

I searched everywhere online, and to my surprise, I couldn't find a platform that offered this. So, I decided to build one for myself to bridge that gap—not just for me, but for people anywhere in the world.

As I started building, so many more ideas kept dropping into my mind:

For Workplaces & Support:

I once saw a video where a company put together an "anonymous" message tool that ended up sending someone off because it wasn't truly secure. I wanted to solve that. What if companies could use a system where professionals guide each staff member emotionally on a 1-on-1 basis privately? Plus, you can even add someone to your chat so you can talk to the support person together. And for everyday use, every staff member or user can drop their thoughts in a general group chat where they actually won't know who said what.

For Self-Reflection:

I added a journal and a community space to share your stories or post things you want people's opinions on.

For Wellness:

I added a relaxation plan and a feature to send a message to your future self.

All of these features aren't just for building's sake; they are built for deep personal development. I wanted to create an app that helps each individual speak freely, converse with other reasonable people, ask for support, and be the support. A place for self-building, where you can choose to relax in the process.
